Direct Deposit / Allotment
An easy alternative to waiting in line to cash your check.

TIC Federal Credit Union offers you the option to have preauthorized deposits and allotments (i.e., payroll checks, Social Security or retirement checks, or other government checks) to your Regular Savings account or Checking account as long as the payee has the ability to do so.

To take advantage of this free service, you must authorize and set up any direct deposit or allotment to your account(s) by:

  • Seeing a Full Service Representative at one of our four locations,
  • Contacting a Communications Center Representative at 706.320.8500, OR
  • Contacting your payroll office or the government agency through whom you are paid.

If you decide to contact your payroll office or government agency, you will need to provide them with your member number, TIC's routing number, and inform them of which account you would like your deposit/allotment to go to (i.e., savings or checking).

TIC's routing number is: 2611-7167-1

Automatic Transfer
Do you try to save money each pay period, but you cannot keep yourself from spending it?

Consider setting up an automatic transfer. When you have an electronic direct deposit or allotment to your TIC account, every time you are paid you can have a set amount automatically transferred to one or more TIC savings accounts(i.e. Regular Savings, Christmas Savings, Tax Savings, Follow-Me Account, IRA), to your TIC checking account, or another TIC member's account.

To take advantage of this free service, please contact TIC by:

Electronic Withdrawal / Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
Did you forget to pay a bill and "snail mail" would not be fast enough to make the payment due date?

Most companies today are able to accept check-by-phone or check-by-internet. In this situation you will need to know what information to give to the company in order to have the funds deducted from your checking account. For the funds to be deducted from your checking account, you will need to provide the company with the following:

  • TIC's Routing Number,
  • Your complete account number, AND
  • In most cases, a check number

You can find all of this information at the bottom of your checks (share drafts). The example below will help you locate this information:

In some cases, companies have the ability to draft funds from your savings account through EFT. If you would like the funds to be drafted from your savings account you will need to provide the following:

  • TIC's Routing Number (2611-7167-1), AND
  • Your Member Number, which can be found on your TIC Membership Card or by asking a TIC Representative at one of our locations.

Note: NSF fees may apply to any returned items.

Electronic Wire
Do you need to send money and "snail mail" is simply not fast enough? Or do you have an emergency and you need family or friends to send you money fast?

The answer to your problem is a "financial institution-to-financial institution" wire transfer. It is fast, secure, and the money is directly deposited to the account you specify. TIC allows you to send wires from any of your TIC Savings or Checking accounts and receive wires to your TIC Regular Savings and Checking account.

OUTGOING WIRE - When wiring money to another financial institution you will need to:

  1. Determine the amount of money you want to send.
  2. Get the name of the person you are wiring the money to, their financial institution's routing number, and the account number of the person you are wiring the money to. If you cannot find the financial institution's routing number, go to their Web site, where it is usually listed, or call them. You will also want the financial institution's address and phone number.
  3. Come to one of TIC's locations and complete a Wire Request Form.

You may also call a Communications Center Representative at 706.320.8500 if your account has been set up with a Wire Request password.

If your account has not been set up with this password you may do so by coming to one of TIC's locations and filling out the Wire Request Form, or by calling a Communications Center Representative to have a Wire Request Form mailed to you. You will need to have the same information as if you were sending the wire. This password will allow you to send money to the account you specify whenever you need to by simply calling a Communications Center Representative.

Note: TIC will be unable to complete any wire requests over the phone without a Wire Request password designated specifically for the institution, account name and number that is to receive the wire.

INCOMING WIRE - When wiring money to a TIC account from another financial institution you will need to:

  1. Determine the amount of money you want to send.
  2. Provide the financial institution from which you a sending the wire with the following information:
    • Name of financial institution receiving wire: Georgia Central Credit Union
    • City: Duluth
    • State: Georgia
    • ABA Number (routing and transit): 261184367
    • For Deposit: TIC Federal Credit Union
    • Account Number: 261171671
    • F.F.C.: The account owners name and their TIC account number (specify savings or checking)
