If you are a parent
of a teenager, you know how important it will be for
your child to develop good financial habits. The Xtreme
Savers account is designed to help teens learn the
importance of good money management. |
As I'm sure you are aware,
there is a serious lack of financial education resources for
teens. In a recent survey by the American Savings Education
Council, only 21 percent of high school students reported
taking a course in financial management in school. If you
are like many adults, you also did not receive any guidance
on financial issues as a teen.
Xtreme Savers will give your
child exposure to information on financial issues to which
they can relate. Once a quarter, your child will receive a
newsletter with information on financial issues facing teens.
These articles will give tips on saving money, preparing for
college and much more.
We are very excited about
our special teen Web site called CU Succeed. Your teen will
have instant access to an array of information on teen issues,
including some articles written by fellow teens. I encourage
you to visit our Web site and review this useful tool.
As you know, knowledge is
power. Our goal is to provide your child with financial information
that will help educate them on the importance of good money
management.
We hope Xtreme Savers will
help your son or daughter build a solid financial foundation.
